Premiere Issues

July 29th, 2008

Sorry for the lack of Catches, i’ve been busy with my own personal work and at Whitespace.

pi Premiere Issues

Recently we’ve launched a studio project called Premiere Issues. The project was given birth in 2002 by my good friend and creative director Danielle Huthart. Essentially, the project is a massive collection celebrating first issue magazine triumphs.

It was my role to mature Danielle’s baby from this to this, turning the static into a live, dynamic collection with submissions, search, commenting and of course design structured in a solid grid.

I’m super happy with the result, and you should definitely check it out.

HSBC CPI Order Hash Generator

July 13th, 2008

awesome HSBC CPI Order Hash GeneratorRecently I’ve been designing an online store for a bag designer in the UK who uses HSBC as their payment gateway. Currently in development stage, we ran into problems whilst integrating the store with HSBC online payments.

Security wise, HSBC’s online payment system is insanely strong (well it should be…), with numerous hash keys and etc to deal with. Your server requires a 128bit SSL certificate, and root access to install HSBC’s hash key generators, libraries and such. SSL tick. Root access, no. The server my client was using did not have root access, OR a working cgi-bin (I don’t recommend 1&1) Calamity strikes!

YUI Grids CSS Maker

July 8th, 2008

awesome YUI Grids CSS MakerThis is a pretty awesome nifty little utility from those clever fellas at Yahoo! I stumbled upon today.

“The foundational YUI Grids CSS offers four preset page widths, six preset templates, and the ability to stack and nest subdivided regions of two, three, or four columns. The 4kb file provides over 1000 page layout combinations.”

Go mental with efficiency, speed and a scary (!) enjoyable factor when creating your next CSS Grid with Yahoo!

Whitespace and more.

November 13th, 2007

Whitespace

Apologies for the lack of updates at 1983! I’ve been beavering away at Whitespace to create some pretty interesting work! I’ve recently completed our portfolio www.whitespace.hk, incorporating SEO techniques and usability for Flash (back, forward, bookmarking!). And it’s all managed by XML. Pretty exciting stuff and theres more to come!

Also check out www.kushliving.com, and www.johnferdinand.com some other sites i’ve been working on.
