Bachelorette

January 30th, 2007

A tale of a tale, by one of my most favourite artists Björk, Bachelorette. This is one of my most loved videos by the legendary director Michel Gondry.

Elektrobank

January 26th, 2007

Friday brings us the superb video for The Chemical Brothers, Elektrobank.
Directed by legend Spike Jonze, and starring the fabulous Sophia Coppola.
I find it genius how this video can express a multitude of stories in a matter of 5 minutes.
Fantastic!

Sing It Back

January 23rd, 2007

A trippy, hazy, dazed Tuesday brings back a good oldie Moloko, Sing It Back. I remember the first time I saw this promo and was quite amazed. Directed by Dawn Shadforth, director of quite a few rocking videos.

What Else Is There

January 22nd, 2007

A gripping, eerie but soothing video for Röyksopp, What Else Is There.
By up and coming director Martin de Thurah.

Where was I in March 2005? Oh that’s right, I was preparing my move to Hong Kong. Which means I totally let these fellas slip through. Shame on me…

iTunes 7.0 Horror

September 13th, 2006

it7cover iTunes 7.0 HorrorJust a small shout about iTunes 7.0 and its’ update with CoverFlow, previously a Mac only plugin for iTunes.

Looks good!
Well done to the creator…

Don’t forget to check out the new spot for the remastered Nano too!

Update:
I’ve installed iTunes 7.0, but this is probably the worst iTunes version i’ve ever came across. Tracks are skipping/lagging/stuttering and I don’t think that CoverFlow thing is 100% there. I mean come on, I have a specced up Dell 9300 which is less than a year old. It can’t be time to upgrade… can it?

Another thing, why can’t you sort iTunes tracks by whether they’re checked or not?
Pretty simple request don’t you think… I hate having to scroll through to find which songs are checked or not for the auto-synchronize thing with my Nano.

HMV Madness

June 11th, 2006

A few CD’s I bought at HMV. I’m liking Belle & Sebastians first record, Tigermilk, and The Upper Room is pretty wicked. Spinto Band is so so, and Aqualung was a ‘cheap & cheerful’. .IMG_1866 HMV Madness.IMG_1865 HMV Madness.IMG_1864 HMV Madness.IMG_1863 HMV Madness

Silver & Fire has this great feeling to it, retro, laid back but not in the Jack Johnson style. Love it.
